Doesn’t follow the traditional marketing agency narrative.
In 2020, Australia experienced COVID-19 lockdowns. Our lead generation, which was traditional word of mouth, in-person networking and referrals, dried up almost overnight. No coffee catchups. No in-person events. We tried Zoom and phone calls, but they didn’t have the same impact. Kym Wallis, Higher Ranking’s Founder and Director, had to think on his feet – and fast.
Before COVID hit, he dabbled with better ways to get his message in front of the right people, at scale. He saw the opportunities LinkedIn offers for reliable lead generation. Its large user base (one billion members) and filtered targeting – through Sales Navigator – can get you in front of the right people, in the right location and the right time. But how do you do this at scale, especially if don’t have the time or resources of a sales team behind you?
That’s when Kym’s “aha” moment hit: Fully managed lead generation software that combines the best of automation technology with human sales touch, plugged into LinkedIn. After a year of refinement, voilà! High Ranking’s unique B2B lead generation software platform was launched.

Kym Wallis
Kym isn’t your average digital agency founder. In fact, in a past life many years ago, he was a ballet dancer!
For over 20 years, however, he’s been an expert in performance based digital marketing. He’s been responsible for building thousands of successful relationships with clients for companies like ReachLocal, IBM, and his own company, Higher Ranking.
Kym is a dedicated leader who wakes up every day with a strong desire to improve the lives of his clients, staff, family, and himself. He brings an infectious level of enthusiasm and energy to every interaction he has.
When he’s not working, Kym loves embracing the vibrant life in Melbourne. He cherishes spending quality time with his wife and enjoys outdoor activities like riding his bike with his two children and their two Huskies, Malibu and Angel.
